Henry was born in 1868. He is the son of Thomas Hague and Elizabeth Watson.
Henry enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 18 July 1916, he gave his age as 43, a widower with no children, his next of kin was his sister Edith. He embarked from Adelaide on HMAT Commonwealth A73 on 21 September 1916 with the 5th reinforcements, 5th Pioneer Battalion. Henry died from pneumonia on 1 February 1917 at the 26th General Hospital, Etaples, and was buried at Etaples Military Cemetery.
