Biography

Nelle Eugenia Haden was born on December 16, 1885, in Columbia, Missouri, her father, James, was 29, and her mother, Sallie, was 26. She married Hugh Dudley Wilkinson on February 27, 1907, in her hometown. They had four children in 11 years. She died on October 8, 1969, in Nowata, Oklahoma, at the age of 83, and was buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma in the Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

In 1915, as told by her daughter Lois, and then her granddaughter Kathy, she became deaf.
