Biography

Hugh was born on July 7, 1893. He was the son of Walter Haden and Sallie Davis. He enjoyed drawing and was very good at it. Around the time he was 18, he caught TB and couldn't work. Luckily, he was able to continue drawing. Because of the severity of his illness, he lived in a front room on the main level in his parents' home which was located in Fife, Virginia. He passed away from his illness at only 48 years of age and was buried at Mizpah Christian Church on July 20, 1941.
