Biography
William (Haddow) Hadden migrated from Scotland to Australia.
William Currie Haddow was born on 1 August 1794 in Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland, son of John Haddow (1763–~1855) and Elizabeth Hamilton (~1766– ).
William (29) married Jane Baird (26) (born in 1797 in Scotland) on 23 January 1824 in Dalziel, Lanark, Scotland.[1] [2] Their known children were:
- John William Hadden (<1825–1879)
- Ann Hadden (1827–1859)
- James Hadden (1829–1911)
- Elizabeth Hadden (<1832–1887)
- Jane Hadden (<1834–1916)
- Mary Hadden (1839–1931)
In 1841, William (46) was living in Hamilton, Lanarkshire. [3]
William died on 25 April 1865 in Brighton, Colony of Tasmania, aged 70.
