Susannah Groom was born about 1831 in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, England & baptised there 28th January 1832, the daughter of Robert Groom & Susanna Leach.^[1]

Susannah Groom, of full age, Spinster, of Wells, (daughter of Robert Groom, Tailor) & William Wells, of full age, Bachelor, Shop-Keeper, of Happisburgh, (son of John Wells, Fish-Monger) were married 23rd December 1856 in the Parish Church of Happisburgh, Norfolk, England according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns by Richard Holmes, Vicar. William & Susannah both signed. Witnesses were John Cox Wells & Mary Wells.^[2][3]
