Biography

Malcolm aka Mac was born 19 June 1914 (QLD BDM 1914/C/11909) in Hillcrest Hospital, Rockhampton, QLD, Australia, he is the son of Arthur Groom and Eva Groom.

Malcolm firstly married Veronica Remilton Stewart on the 9th February 1937. Veronica died 18 October 1937 in Brisbane, QLD age 20 years. 8 months into the marriage. She died of Chronic Nephritis with pregnancy mitral stenosis, pulmonary and cerebral oedema as per death certificate

Malcolm secondly as a widower married Gladys May Grove on 10 April 1940 in QLD. QLD BDM 1940/B/38963. Gladys died on 13 March 1941 in Brisbane, QLD. QLD BDM 1941/B/51328. Gladys died 29 years old in Brisbane Hospital of a cerebral haemorrhage as per death certificate.

Malcolm thirdly married Ivy May King (b. 27 August 1920) on 9 April 1941 in QLD. QLD BDM 1941/B/43524. They married 27 days after the death of his second wife. They had a child: May Rose Belle Groom died on 11 September 1943 in QLD.

Malcolm fourthly married Dulcie Clara Sonter. (b. 1926, Parramatta, NSW and died 28 May 2008 in Sydney, NSW). They had children: Lynnette Groom, Pamela Groom, Beverly Groom, Douglas Groom, Barbara Joyce Groom, Geoffrey Malcolm Groom.

Death - Malcolm died on 4 July 1992 at the age of 78 years in Sydney, NSW.

Age 78 years. Will be sadley missed by his family and friends.
