Katherina Elisabetha (Groh) Heimbuch was a Volga German.

Katherina Elisabetha Groh was born 17 Jan 1885 in Grimm, Volga, Russia.[1]

She married Christian Jacob Heimbuch on 4 Jun 1908 in Grimm.[2]

They came to America departing Bremen via S.S. Willehad on 23 Nov 1911 arriving to Baltimore, Maryland on 9 Dec 1911. They were bound for her brother Alexander Groh.[3]

Mrs. Christ Heimbuch Rites Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Christ Heimbuch, 71, who died Thursday at a Mason City hospital, will be {held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The C.A. Hinz will officiate.
Mrs. Heimbuch, a long-time resident of Mason City and widow of Christ Heimbuch, retired farmer who died in January this year, was born Jan. 17, 1885, in Grimm, Russia, then a part of Germany. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert Heimbuch, Mason City; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Frieda) Udelhofen, Mason City; Mrs. Claude (Ella) Miller, Ventura; Mrs. Gilbert (Lydia) Luker, Clear Lake; Mrs. Peter (Emma) Green, Forest City, and Mrs. Edwin (Rosie) Ficken, Mason City; 29 grandchildren; and two brothers, Alec Groh, Chicago, and George Groh, Windsor, Colo. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two infant daughters, three brothers and a sister. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Major Memorial Chapel from 2 p.m. Sunday until noon Monday.[5]
