Leoluca is born and baptized Leonemlucam on 8 June 1852. He is the son of Felice Grizzaffi and Maria Antonia Sciortino. His godparents are Dominicus Patella and Maria, his sister. Leoluca is named after [Grizzaffi-287|his paternal grandfather]], and a brother born in 1843 who is presumed to have died before 1852.
Leoluca (contadino/farmer, according to the civil record) marries Maria Cimino n 12 February 1877. His father has died by this time, and his mother is living.
Leoluca and Maria have eleven children together, five of them living in 1910. Nine are known: Maria Antonia (1878), three sons named Felice (1882, 1884, and 1886), two sons named Francesco Paolo/Frank (1889 and c. 1895), Sam (c. 1897), Lena (c. 1901), and Angelo (c. 1905).
Maria Antonia is born 8 June 1878 and baptized the next day. Her godparents are Giuseppe Crapisi and Francesca di Prima, a married couple. She dies at the age of two years and two months, on 22 August 1880.
The first son named Felice is born and baptized Felicem on 23 July 1882. His godparents are Carmelo la Magna and Giuseppa Meli.
He dies at one year and two months of age on 18 September 1883.

The second son named Felice is born 6 August 1884, and baptized Felicem the next day. His godfather is Giovanni Cortimiglia.
There is a civil death record for this child. Felice dies 14 July 1885 at age 11 months and 8 days, at 13 via Arena in Corleone.
The third son named Felice is born 4 November 1886 and baptized the next day. His godfather is Gioachino Cimino, who is unmarried.
Leoluca, called son of the late Felice, appears in the notes of a family council meeting in which his niece, Salvatrice D'Anna, daughter of his late sister, Bernarda, requests permission to marry. He reports being 30 years old in 1887, for an estimated birth year of 1857 (Note: His actual birthdate is 8 June 1852.)
Many Leolucas Grizzaffi: There is another Leoluca Grizzaffi, son of Calogero, and husband of Giovanna Orlando, who is born in 1857. This Leoluca stands as godfather to the daughter of a younger Leoluca Grizzaffi, who is himself the son of Leoluca.
Francesco Paolo is born 11 September 1889 and baptized the next day, named after his maternal grandfather. His godfather is Felice Saporito, who is unmarried.[1]
Francesco Paolo dies at one year of age (b. 1890) on 29 January 1891.
The family emigrates after his death. They live in Louisiana by around 1895, when Frank is born there.
Frank appears in the 1910 census, born around 1895 in Louisiana.
Sam is born around 1897 in Louisiana.
Angelo is born around 1905 in Texas.
In the 1910 federal census of Justice Precinct 4, Brazos County, Texas, taken 2 May, Luke Grezoff (Grizzaffi), 58 (b. 1852), heads a household with his wife of 23 years (m. 1887), Mary, 45 (b. 1865). She has had 11 children, 5 living. At home with them are their children Felix, 20 (b. 1890---he is 23), born in TX, Frank, 15 (b. 1895), born in Louisiana, Lena, 9 (b. 1901), born in Texas, Sam, 13 (b. 1897), born in Louisiana, and Angelo, 5 (b. 1905), born in Texas. Luke emigrated in 1889. No date for Mary. Luke is a farmer. His 4 oldest children are listed as farm laborers on a home farm. [2]

John Lampo, 70, with his wife Josephine, 62. They emigrated in 1887 and naturalized in 1900. Home farmer working on his own account.
Ben Lampo, 30 (b. 1890), and his wife Maggie, 27 (b. 1893). Ben was born in Louisiana. Maggie emigrated in 1903 and is naturalized. Home farmer working on his own account.
Cortemella Genuse (Cortimiglia Genusa), 57 (b. 1863), emigrated in 1904 with his wife Jenny, 48 (b. 1872), and children Joe, 21 (b. 1899), and Tony, 16 (b. 1904). Daughter Maggie, 12 (b. 1908), was born in Texas. Home farmer working on his own account.[3]
