Biography

Giuseppe Grizzaffi is a Corleone native resident, the son of Giuseppe and Antonia Grizzaffi. His mother's surname is not yet known. I estimate he is born around 1728, twenty years before he marries

Giuseppe is the first husband of Antonina Puccio. They marry on 29 September 1748. Giuseppe's parents have died by this time.

Giuseppe and Antonina have at least three children: Ignazia (c. 1749), Antonia (c. 1756), and Maria (c. 1760).

I estimate Ignazia is born around 1748, the year after her parents marry.

I estimate Antonia is 20 years old (b. 1757) when she marries. Antonia is named after her paternal grandmother.

I estimate Maria is born around 1760, twenty years before she marries.

Ignazia marries Andrea Palazzo on 27 April 1768. Her father has died by this time.

Giuseppe's widow, Antonina, marries Vincenzo Salemi, who is also a widower, on 29 October 1773.

Giuseppe and Antonina's daughter, Antonia, marries Emmanuele Vetrano on 2 February 1777. By this time, her mother has also died, according to this record. However, her half-brother, Giuseppe's marriage record of 1797 indicates she is still living.

Maria marries Sigismondo Colletto on 18 June 1780. Her parents have both died, according to this record.

Antonia dies at age 36 (b. 1756) on 10 July 1792. Emmanuele survives her.^[1]
