Biography

Rosa was born in 1875. She passed away in 1956 at the age of 83.

Early Life

Rosa was the daughter of Edmund Gray and Emily White.

In the 1880 census Rosa (age 5) was the daughter of Edmund Gray in Austin, Travis, Texas.^[1]

Marriage / Children

Rosa "Dallas" married [[Hughes-19039| John "J.M." Hughes on 24 August 1890 in Grayson, Texas.^[2][3]

In the 1900 census Rosa (age 25) was the wife of John W. Hughes in Greer, Oklahoma Territory.^[4]

In the 1910 census Rosa (age 36) was the wife of John Hughes in McLean, Gray, Texas.^[5]

In the 1920 census, Rosie (age 41) was the wife of John M Hughes in Justice Precinct 5, Montague, Texas.^[6]

In the 1940 census, Rosie (age 65) was the divorced head of household in Strauss, Cotton, Oklahoma.^[7]

Rosa's son Justin Walter Hughes married Katherin Warren on 3 April 1943 in Jackson, Oklahoma.^[8]

Rosie's son Roscoe E Hughes died on 6 October 1944 in Saginaw, Tarrant, Texas.^[9]

In the 1950 census, Rosie (age 74) was the divorced head of household in Strauss, Cotton, Oklahoma.^[10]
