When Lucy Gresham was born on 16th June 1874, in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, her father, John Joshua Gresham, was 39 and her mother, Anna Maria Short, was 30.^[1]

She died 4th July 1874 in Dunedin and only lived for 18days. She was buried 7th July 1874, in the Northern Cemetery - Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, Block 34. Plot 41.^{[2] [3]}
