Wilbur was born in 1861. He was the son of James Gregory and Janette Greenlees. ^[1].

His grandparents John Greenlees and Helen Brown were founders of the Scottish Settlement in Argyle, Illinois.

He married Sarah Marie Colcord in 1892 in Nebraska. ^[2]

They adopted Helen Church who became Phyllis Gregory (Denman), 1908-1980.

They lived in Manistee, Michigan where he started out as a bank cashier and later became the president of the Manistee Savings Bank. ^[3]

Wilbur passed away in 1939 in Miami, Florida where they spent their winters. ^[4][5]

He is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, with his parents and siblings.
