I took the DNA test on Ancestry. I didn’t add it to this site. I’m not even sure how to. But if someone wants to know how to get to it on Ancestry I can let them know. Is that ok? Cathy
The DNA badge probably shows up because you checked off the DNA box in the questions as you were upgrading to Family Member. Since WikiTree does not store DNA data, you can just add that you tested at Ancestry and your username. To do that, from your profile page look on the top right and hover on the "Add" button. The first item is DNA; click on that and follow the prompts to add the info and click Save. Once you have done that, give it about 24 hours and your profile will have that you took the Ancestry test & will have your username. Then, that information will begin to show up on your ancestor's profiles where appropriate. That way, as other descendants of your ancestors see that information, they will know to check on Ancestry to see if you and they are a match.
I hope this helps to explain how DNA works here on WikiTree.
