Mrs. Mary McPherson died at her home in this city Friday afternoon at 2 pm from heart trouble, aged 64 years. She is survived her three children. Funeral Sunday at 2 pm. Interment at Broadfording. ^[1]

In 1880 Mary was living with her husband Philip Householder and infant son Oliver in Clear Spring, Washington, Maryland, United States. ^[2]

According to the 1900 census, in June 1900 Mary was 39 years old (born Nov 1860 in Pennsylvania) and living with her husband Zachary Ridenour, 16 year old daughter Nellie C Householder, three year old son Clarence R Bryan (listed as a boarder) and a boarder in Election Districts 21-22, West Hagerstown, East Hagerstown (excl. Hagerstown City), Washington, Maryland, United States. ^[3]

Mary died on 16 Nov 1923 and was buried at Broadfording Cemetery in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland with her first husband Phillip A. M. Householder. ^[4]

Research Notes

• I found on findagrave.com under her son, Clarence Russell Bryan that her maiden name could have also been Shrader. Also her son, for some reason changed his last name from Bryan to O'Brien.
• The death certificate for her son James Oliver Householder lists her name as Katherine Graves
