Research Notes

Suzette GRAPPE was originally shown as the daughter of Francoise GRAPPE. Grappe-8 was called Francois, but the 1787 census makes it clear that the child born in 1761 was actually Francoise. This is also clear from the fact that Grappe-8 lists their spouse as Benoit MONTENARY; if Grappe-8 is Francois, a male, then they would not be married to Benoit.
