Emily was born about 1838 at St Luke's Chelsea, Middlesex. (1861,1871, 1881 census)
I have not found a birth or baptism for Emily, or census result in 1841.
She may be the Emma Granger that appears in the 1851 Census as a 16 year old servant in Taunton household in St. Martin in the Fields (there are 2 other candidates)
At her 26 Dec 1859 marriage, Emily Granger listed her father as James Granger, a Waiter. Witness to this marriage was Lucy Granger.
There is a Lucy Granger who married George Shilling in 1871. She also listed her father as James Granger, a Waiter.
Lucy Granger is with her mother Mary and sister Elizabeth in 1851, 1861, and 1871. Lucy and Elizabeth are also born at St. Luke's Chelsea.
In 1861 Emily is living in St. George Southwark, listed as Emma Lockett with husband John, and two children.
After her husband's death in 1885, Emily remarried in Nov 1888 to George Edward Melsom. Emily died in 1922 Camberwell.
