If you could please give us a general idea of the ways in which you have been contributing to the Acadia Project for the last couple of months, it would be very helpful to the leaders.
On behalf of the Acadia Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. Please let me know if you are still active, and if so, in which ways you have contributed to the project, or a sub-project, within the last two months.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
Hi Juliette! I awarded you the project badges you requested. I'm always happy to see another French Canadian adding to the tree! :)
The main piece of advice I'll give you as you start adding your family and connecting to the tree is to do a lot of searching! When you add a person, if it's an obvious duplicate the system will point that out to you, but it's easy to miss if the dates aren't quite the same, or the name is spelled differently. Once you get back a few generations you'll find that a lot of people already have profiles, so you can save yourself a lot of work by finding the existing ones before creating your own.
Let me know if you have any questions along the way!
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum, you might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.
Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.
Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)
