Hi Richard,

I notice you've added several pre-1700 profiles with the phrase "Geen brongegevens" (no source data) in place of a reliable source. It is a requirement of pre-1700 certification that reliable sources are added at the time of profile creation. Cheers, Elizabeth.

Richard,

If you haven't been able to find the correct last name for Unknow-483, please change it to the Wikitree standard usage: Unknown. This will make the profile searchable on our collaborative tree and increase the chances that someone will help to find the Last Name at Birth. If you don’t know how to do this, drop me a note, and I’ll help.

Thanks! Nan, Unknowns team

Hello Nan,

I don’t know where I have used “Unknown-483” ?

An other question: “Some of my family members are stored with their mothers Last Name and not with their fathers Last Name. This will make the searchable also not better, but also the trees. Fox exsample:

  • Anna Christina (Pasmans) Goossens (1756 - 1756). I want to change the name in Anna Christina Goossens
  • Arnoldus (Ghoossens) Goossens (1730 - 1810). I want to change the name in Arnoldus Goossens

Kind regards, Richard Goossens

Richard, it wasn't Unknown-483, it was Unknow-483 (Unknown was misspelled). It has since been corrected to Unknown, and you can adopt the "new" profile. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-598664.

To change the LNAB on profiles, you just need to be the profile manager or on the trusted list. Go to the edit tab, and click on the edit link beside Last Name at Birth. Then you can enter the correct name.

Hi again,

I sent you a message a couple of weeks ago on behalf of the Germany Project and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well!

If I don’t hear back from you by the end of April, I will assume you no longer wish to be a member of the Germany Project and I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes,

Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

REMINDERS: (1) We use Google Groups for project collaboration and you aren’t yet a member of the group, please submit a join request here (make sure to add your name/WikiTree ID to the request). (2) add GERMANY to your followed G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list. We recently launched a new Profile Improvement Team and are seeking new team members. Let me know if you’re interested.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

Correction: “I will update the English Person Pages”.
posted by Richard Goossens
Hello members,

Thanks for your complement for my pages and tips. I tried the pre-1500 request once, but I believe I was still missing something? Therefore my escape.

But I will close my pre-1500 projects (in the official English Person Pages). Today I changed the dates of [Van_der_Aa-50 | Jan Gerardsz van der Aa (abt. 1427 - abt. 1485)]] in pre-500 dates and I will close the others too. Because I am not yet pre-1500 accredited, I can no longer maintain my pre-500 Person Pages (because I will lose my edit permission). But I will continue research and I will maintain the Dutch sister pages (saved in a Free Space Page), to which the official English Person Page refers. Should I later on accredited pre-1500, I will update the official Dutch Person Pages.

Thanks and regards, Richard

Hi Richard. Re: Adding/Editing pre-1500 profiles, you've probably already seen this link, but just in case: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1500_Profiles

Perhaps you want to follow the link on that page to "request pre-1500" certification, which once achieved would greatly facilitate your contributions for the earlier ancestors. I noticed you've created one or more free space pages for documentation of the pre-1500 people you've researched. I don't know if that is a great compromise or not. If your contributions to date meet pre-1500 certification standards according to whomever decides such, that'd certainly be the "best" way to go.
