I see that you have been adding Pre-1700 profiles such as Schriver-332, Schriver-331, Borchman-31, and Rohlfing-245.
You must never create a pre-1700 profile without citing a reliable source.
All Pre-1700 profiles require Reliable Sources. Projects can provide more details for sources that are reliable for the location/timeframe.
I see you're working on a Richmond, one of several southern Richmonds who have no known connection with John Richmond (Taunton MA around 1650), my Richmond ancestor. John had two sons, both of whom have male lines today, so that we have John's Y chromosome haplogroup, I-M253. If you find a male descendant of your Richmond, you can connect him to the original John and his two sons with his Y chromosome haplogroup.
I'm an 84 year old retired pathologist in east TN.

since I didn’t see any reaction from your side about the check-in message from May, I assume you don’t want to remain a project member. If I don’t hear from you within the next 14 days, I will then remove your Germany Project badge. If you do not wish for that to happen, please reply to the check-in message below or send me a direct message.
If this message finds you too late, feel free to re-request the badge by replying to our G2G join post.
Kind regards from Black Forest
See you at the Thon :)
Thank you for your contributions to WikiTree. I noticed that you have recently created pre-1700 profiles like Anna Ilsche (Ohlemeyer) Spoeneman (abt.1654-1718), Herman Spoeneman (abt.1650-1721), and Engel (Rieckmann) Spoenemann (1691-1757), without adding any sources. I am confident that you intend to add sources soon, but it is recommended that primary sources be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles. If you don't have a source, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile. Thanks for your cooperation.
it's annual check-in time 2023. If you still wish to remain a member of the Germany Project, please reply to this post, by stating this intention. If we don’t hear from you in the next 30 days, your membership badge will be removed. In this case please don't be offended ... you're welcome to rejoin at any time. Please also note, that in order to receive help, with researching your German ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with Germany in order for knowledgeable people to see them.
If you wish to remain a member, we would like to learn more about your perception of the Germany Project in order to achieve a future development according to our members needs and wishes. For this, we created a survey, which we kindly ask you to fill-in.
In case you want to communicate, discuss and receive help about WikiTree in German, you might want to check out the WikiTree category at Compgen’s Discourse as well as the German Discord server Ahnenforschung.
Of course there’s still the official WikiTree Discord server, where we usually talk English. Feel free to learn more about Discord and the server at Help:Discord.
Kind regards from Black Forest
I see that you have been adding pre-1700 profiles tonight without appropriate sources. I know that you left messages promising to add sources within the next 24 hours, but I'm a little concerned with the number of profiles involved whether you will be leaving yourself with the ability to accomplish that. Please don't enter any additional early profiles without sourcing the ones already created.
Would you please review the Pre-1700 Quiz and the explanations about the sort of sources WikiTree is looking for, as well as our Help page on Sources.
Thank you!
Dave

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Thanks for having a Big Heart and adopting Orphan Profiles. You will want to read this After adopting orphans FAQ to understand what to do next and it explains the special attention those profiles need.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I wanted to touch base and see if you have any questions about the Germany Project. Have you read the main Project page? Most of the basic info on the Project will be linked to that page, here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Germany.
Please add Germany to your list of followed tags at your earliest convenience (see Help:Tags: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags). This is how the project communicates with the wider WikiTree membership.
You have not yet joined our Google Group, where our project communicates. In the Google Group (and on G2G), you can ask specific questions relating to your German genealogy. To join the Google Group, please click this link: https://groups.google.com/g/wikitreegermanroots and request to join. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ADD YOUR NAME OR WIKITREE ID TO THE REQUEST. Also, as a project member, you can join us and chat in real-time on Discord. More info on joining Discord is available on the main project page.
Have you checked out our teams? We encourage you to join at least one of them, just let me know what interests you and there's probably a team for that!
Do you have any suggestions on how we might improve the project? Are there any new teams or resource pages you’d like to see created? I am always available to answer questions as is my co-leader, Dieter. Just let us know if you need anything!
Best regards, Traci ~Germany Project co-leader
We are having internet issues that has me reluctant to attempt my more intense projects, but hopefully we'll get it fixed in a few days. I am currently involved in a volunteer project "Stories Behind The Stars" writing biographies of every fatality in WWII.
That sounds like a great project "Stories Behind the Stars". Is that a Wikitree project?
STARS is outside of WikiTree. The habit of Germans to use three or four given names without bothering to keep them in the same order, plus the FamilySearch hints which are too vague or confusing, are two things that have kept me from venturing into indexed German records. Then it comes down to learning geography. I was able to bypass those challenges when I worked in my Fass line by going directly to the transcribed church books. Now I am reluctant to spend that much on another set of books for another parish. Maybe I could locate someone willing to look up or scan pages through G2G?
Thanks for joining the Germany Project! I've awarded you a project member badge. When you have a chance, please do the following:
1. Read the main Germany Project Page (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Germany) to familiarize yourself with what we do.
2. Add GERMANY to your list of followed G2G tags, so you can follow what the project is working on (see Help:Tags: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags).
3. Submit a join request to our Google Group (https://groups.google.com/g/wikitreegermanroots), where our project communicates. **Please make sure to add your name and WikiTree ID** to the request so we can get you set up.
4. Join a Team: On our main project page, we have listed several teams that cover regional, functional, historical and migrational interests. You might find that one of our 16 regional teams may be a good fit. Simply post a comment on the Team page to join whichever team suits you.
We look forward to working with you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions any time.
Thanks! Traci Thiessen ~ Germany Project co-leader
As you have been a member of WikiTree for a few weeks now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.
Has the How-to been helpful or left you with any questions?
I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

A warm welcome to WikiTree. You are now a full member and can add your family to the big tree!
Click here to start with our New Member How To Pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have. You never know when you will find a lost family member or ancestor. Or maybe find a hidden family secret about an ancestor. Genealogy to me is like being a detective looking for clues into the past.
Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile as the links will work from there.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
