Biography

Milton Ray Goodkowsky was born on 24 Sep 1924 in Blue Hill, Hancock, Maine, United States, son of Keith Goodkowsky (1903 - 1966) and Leah (Abram) Goodkowsky (1902 - 1984).

Obituary

HOLYOKE - Milton Goodkowsky, 83, died peacefully November 29. He was born in Blue Hill, Maine and had lived with his wife and family in Holyoke, since 1965. Milton is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lynn. He was a veteran of World War II. Milton was inducted into the MetLife Hall of Fame, while enjoying a lifelong career with the company. In addition to his devotion to his wife and family, Milton was active in numerous volunteer and civic organizations, including service as a Shriner, for the Red Cross and as a member of the Holyoke Taxpayers Association. He was a proud member of the Holyoke Rotary Club and he maintained perfect attendance. In 1985 Rotary recognized him as a Paul Harris Fellow. Milton was a benevolent, charitable man with a desire to enhance global understanding through work with Rotary International Exchanges. Milton is survived by his children as well as his grandchildren. A celebration of Milton's life will be held at the Messier Funeral Home, at 1944 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA on Monday, 4:00-8:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Bangor, Maine on Wednesday.^[3]
