When you add names to your tree it always asks for sources. What happens when you cannot find the source online but you have the source via a record or info in a book?
Im Karen, the leader of the Puerto Rican Roots Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you would like to be involved moving forward. I'd love to hear what excites you about researching folks connected to Puerto Rico, and how the revitalization of the project might inspire you in 2018. Have a look at the Puerto Rican Roots Project page, and let me know what youd like to do or if you have any questions. We can list your interests, help you join the Google Groups forum for Puerto Rico, and give you any help you might need. If we dont hear back from you well assume you no longer want to be a part of the Puerto Rican Roots Project at this time.
Congratulations, you've been a WikiTree member for a month!
We're glad you're here. A few tips to help you dive in even deeper:
Check out Beyond the Basics of WikiTree for a guide on some of our more advanced features such as Projects, Categories, and Merging.
We're very active on our social sites and we have an excellent blog where you'll find our monthly newsletter as well as tips, interviews with our members and guest posts from others in the genealogy community.
And we're always looking for volunteers to assist in different ways.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I'm happy to help!
Yay! I just learned to add a source link on my dad's profile. Finally I feel better about adding a source, before I was adding the long links from the Familysearch.org site
So---So far since I've been a member I have learned to adopted orphaned profiles, merged double profiles, add the link of the parents to their child's profile and now the source link. Boy do I have loads of profiles to fix.
I just want to say I am totally amazed and a little bit jealous of the amount of family connections you have made in such a short time!!!
I am part of the Volunteer Greeters project and after your first month here I'm hoping you might consider joining our project and becoming a volunteer Greeter! It would certainly be a BONUS to have someone who speaks multiple languages - another thing that makes me jealous :) Looking forward to 'talking' with you soon!

This is where many of my Gonzalez line were married or Baptized. Many Baptism records for my Gonzalez line were found there.

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.
Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.
If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.
Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.
