Going or Goen or Gowen; Native American, likely labelled Saponi by colonial officials (re Col William Eaton estate, Granville NC, 1754 "20-30 Saponi" see also 1754 muster roll where Goings are listed as "mulatto";

  1. Residence: Manahoac Territory / Stafford VA; the Manahoac were adopted by the Haudenosaunee, Gayogoho:no Cayuga Nation in 1753 though not all removed to the north.
