Solomon Godwin was a North Carolina colonist.
Solomon Godwin was born in North Carolina.
Solomon Godwin married Martha (Pearce) Godwin Nichols (1740-1800), daughter of Richard (died 1790) and Sarah Pearce (died 1796) of Johnston County, North Carolina.[1]
Among their children were:[1]
- Pierce Godwin (1760-1846)[2]
Research Notes
- James Godwin Sr. (1697-1761) and Mary (Parker) Godwin (1697-1761) may have been the parents of Solomon, but no direct proofs have yet emerged. It is cautioned that two James Godwins were alive in neighboring Wayne and Johnston County at the same time.
