Biography

Lewis was born on 9 August 1898.^[1]

He married Maggie Oram about 1922. They had four children, including two children who died in early childhood. Maggie died in 1930.^[2]

Lewis married Theresa Maude Taite on 7 July 1931. They had seven additional children.^[3]

He appears in the 1935 census of Bragg's Island with Maude and two children.^[4]

(In both censuses, his son, Roland, lived in the household of Obadiah and Mary Ellen, Lewis' parents.)

He appears in the 1945 census of Bragg's Island with Maude and six children.^[5]

Lewis died on 8 August 1976.^[6] He was buried in Knox United Church Cemetery in Hare Bay.^[1]
