Biography

Father's Will

"I give & bequeath to my eldest son John Glenn, a young Negro boy named Dick.

ITEM. I give & bequeath unto my second son, James Glenn, a Negro man named Lamm, and to his heirs.

ITEM; I give & bequeath unto my third son, William Glenn and to his heirs, a young boy, Negro boy named Tom.

ITEM. I give & bequeath unto my oldest daughter, Sean(spelling) Miller, during her life time, a young Wench named Dinah and then to descend to her son James Miller, and his heirs forever.

ITEM: I give & bequeath unto my second daughter, Margaret Snodgrass and her heirs a Negro woman named Luca,

likewise I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Martha Glenn the remainder of my estate to be disposed of by her as she shall think fit. My funeral charges being first discharged with all my just debts..................."

Research

Since there is NO INFO here regarding when he was born?????? I will place an estimate, his sister Margaret Snodgrass has a year of 1740 and the Will says "eldest son John, so I am going to place after 1740 if that does work then 1739, and Margaret was born in Virginia.
