Ging
TAYLOR — "Celebration of Life" services for Glen Roy Ging, 78, of Taylor were held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Bielfeldt officiating. Burial followed at Taylor City Cemetery.
Mr. Ging died Monday, Feb. 9, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on Dec. 12, 1930, in Taylor to Alfred and Ella (Goetz) Ging.
He married Dorothy Schiller on Oct. 15, 1950, at Czech Brethren Church in Taylor.
Mr. Ging made his living farming in the Taylor area and driving big rigs.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Dorothy Ging of Taylor; children Glenda Wiley and Carey Wayne Offield of Rockdale, Gail Earman and husband Kenny of Mt. Pleasant, James Ging and wife, Sandra of Taylor, Steve Ging and wife Debbie of Taylor, Sidney Ging of Thrall, Bobby Ging and wife Sharon of Taylor, Linda Von Rosenberg and husband Randy of Rockdale; grandchildren Karen McLamb and husband David, Jan Lambert and husband Randy, Justin Earman and wife Carol, Brandon Earman, James Bradley Ging, Kristen Ging, Casey Farr and husband Alan, Jake Remington Ging, Cody Ging and Justin Pina, Colt Ging, Travis Alford and wife Andrea, Brandon Alford and wife Kim, Landon Von Rosenberg, Hayden Von Rosenberg; great-grandchildren Mason Lambert, Granger Armentrout, Jackson McLamb, William McLamb, Hannah Grace Earman, Nathan Farr, Ava Elizabeth Alford; a sister, Shirley Townsend; and a brother, Curtis Ging and wife Tracie.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Townsend, Ricky Ging, Scott Ging, Keith Ging, Wayne Ging Jr. and Brett Ging.
Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Ging, Calvin Ging, Harry Burke, David Ging, Wayne Ging Sr., Butch Ging and Dick Randig.
Memorials may be made to VisitaCare Hospice.
