Married Franklin Calhoun Hoover on February 20, 1964 in Ada, Oklahoma.
Daughter, Celeste Hoover Dibler (Tim), Son Che Hoover.
Carleen Ging Hoover of Shawnee died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 54.
She was born Nov. 21, 1945, in Anthony, Kan. She was the daughter of Rev. Herman and Dorothy Ging.
She graduated from Ada High School in 1964. Mrs. Hoover was a youth guidance specialist at Central Oklahoma Juvenile Treatment Center in Tecumseh.
She was a carrier for The Oklahoman for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, the Rev. Herman Ging.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Celeste and Tim Dibler, Ada; son, Che Hoover, Nevada; mother, Dorothy Sing, Sapulpa; three grandchildren, Drew, Kelsey and Trace Dibler, Ada; two sisters, Rachel Ging of Claremore and Marsha Ozbirn of Sand Springs; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rusty Williams assisted by Dr. Virginia Gray and Dr. Emma Richardson officiating, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
