April 26, 1935 – January 27, 2016

Graveside services for Lester L. Ging age 80 of Enid will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Carmen City Cemetery with Rev. Neal Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 5:00 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Lester was born April 26, 1935 in Alva, to Joe and Eunice Razey Ging and was the oldest of nine children. Lester passed away, January 27, 2016. He attended school and graduated from Carmen High School in 1953. Lester played basketball and football. He married Freda Woodring on October 29, 1955 at the First Nazarene Church in Alva and she passed away August 16, 2015, just short of their 60th Anniversary. Lester worked for Alfalfa County for 2 years before starting to work for Cummins Construction Co. in 1957 and retired in 1994, everyone knew him as the “Fat Man on the front end loader”. Lester is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Culver and her husband Duane, grandson Kyle Culver and girlfriend Shaelee Roberts all of Enid, Sister Nina Miles and husband George of Hilton, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Freda, three brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to FURever Friends with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.

Freda was born May 12, 1938 in Anthony, Kansas to Walter Wayne and Mildred Marie Louise Loeser Woodring and passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 16, 2015 in St. Mary’s Regional Hospital. Freda grew up in the Cherokee Community graduating from Cherokee High School and Carmen High School in 1956. She married Lester Ging on October 29, 1955 at 12:00 noon at the First Nazarene Church, Alva, OK. She worked at Lenox Drive-In for 35 years retiring in 1996. Freda was a member of Garfield County Genealogy Society.

Freda is survived by her husband Lester of the home, daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Duane Culver, grandson Kyle Culver all of Enid, sister Doris Hagan and Charles of Kingman, AZ, two brothers Lester Dewayne and Pam Woodring of Inglewood, CO and Kelly Woodring of Inglewood, CO and several nephews and a niece.

She was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence and a sister Belva Lee Woodring.
