Eloise, daughter of Joseph Gimson & Eleanor, was born in 1835 and baptised on 14 April 1841 in St Marylebone, Middlesex, England.[1][2]
Her father worked as a secretary at the Royal Academy of Music.

Eloise was a member of the Royal Society of Female Musician (RSFM) [see Research Notes] and became a member of the The Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain on 9 May 1866 as confirmed in the Society's book, “Members of The Royal Society of Musicians 1738-1984” on Page 59 & 169

Eloise died on 13 November 1875 residing in Eastbourne, Sussex, England and her estate was granted probate on 7 March 1876 in Lewes.[8]
Her death (age 40) was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1875 in the Epsom district.[9]
Eloise was member #RSFM 61.
The Royal Society of Female Musicians was established in 1839 when women were not allowed into the Royal Society of Musicians. The two societies merged in 1866 and from that date women were no longer excluded.[10]
