Biography

Sarah Grace Gillam was born at Cowfold in Sussex in about 1854. ^[1] Her grandparents were John Gillam and his wife, Elizabeth Dowlen. Her mother was likely their daughter Sarah, sometimes Susan Gillam. ^[2] She went into service early and in 1871 was working at Plumstead in Kent ^[3] and ten years later was in Brighton. ^[4]

It is possible that this is Sarah Grace whose death was registered in Eastbourne in 1925. ^[5]
