Biography

Ledelea Gilcrease, also called Leddie and Della, was born about 1867-1868, an estimate based on the 1870 and 1880 United States Censuses. She was the daughter of Edmond Missen Gilcrease (abt.1818-abt.1870) and Mary (Inglet) Gilcrease (1825-bef.1880). In 1870 she was enumerated in the household of both of her parents. They were living in Clarke County, Alabama.^[1] In 1880 she was enumerated in the household of her mother Mary "Killcrease." Della was thirteen years old. They were living in Stockton, Baldwin County, Alabama.^[2] Nothing more is known about her.
