Biography
Sarah Wooten Gilbert was born circa 1780 in Sampson, North Carolina, She died circa 1865 in her hometown, having lived a long life of about 85 years. [citation needed]
Her father was John Gilbert, (born ca. 1755), and her mother, Sarah Sally Tew,(born ca. 1760) [citation needed]
She married and had at least one son and one daughter with Daniel Tew (apparently, her first cousin) between 1794 and 1817.[1]
