Hello fellow WikiTree climbers, and profile manager Scott. I am a fairly new member but was interested in looking up Billy Gibbons after watching this episode of a YouTube series featuring him: <https://youtu.be/UkzofCTa5SE>.
His words really struck me in terms of not only his obvious love for blues music, but the fact that the person who really introduced him to guitar music in a way that influenced his development as a musician was his housekeeper Stella (who he later calls 'Big Black Stella') who took him to blues shows in Houston.
What I am wondering is if it is possible to trace the lineage of said Stella, an important person in the history of rock music for this awesome influence she had on 5 year old Billy.
Hi Evan - I don't have any information on Stella to begin such a tracing, so if you can find a way to start, that would be fine. If she is listed as a member of his household on a Census, that would be a great starting place. Otherwise, you'd almost have to find a living family member who remembered enough details about her to even begin.
