ALERT
There is ample potential for confusion over the records involving a Jacob Gerritsz, the son of Gerrit Huijgensz. Caution is warranted.

RESEARCH NOTES describe another Jacob Gerritsz in the Warmond area around this period who is not directly related.
This other Jacob Gerritsz (Decker) was the son of Gerrit Lambrechtsz, as confirmed in his first mention in the Warmond morgenboek of 1592.
(This other Jacob Gerritsz Decker was also the brother of Geertgen Gerritsdr, the wife of "Timmerman" Foeyt Cornelisz Verzijl.)
Jacob Gerritsz Decker had at least two children, Huijch Jacobsz and Gerit Jacobsz, who take over property between 1628 and 1636.
They appear in the Warmond land registers, but not in the baptismal records for Warmond..
Most certainly these two men overlap in their lives in Warmond.
Meaning, all mentions of Jacob Gerritsz in Warmond must be considered with great care.

There is also a Jacob Huygen, married to Maertge Jans in 1614. With a son Leendert in 1620.
Their lives certainly overlapped with Decker's, but this couple seems likely to be several decades younger than the Jacob Gerritsz (Huijgensz) with his spouse Maritgen.

Nevertheless, the prospects for confusion with this other Jacob Huygen remain, and are amplified by the following.
The Jacob Gerritsz in this profile is also referenced as Jaep Gerrit Huygen by H.M. Kuypers at census entry 151, as noted in SOURCES.
Moreover, Jacob's brother Jan Gerritsz posthumously carries the surname Huygensz in 1646 in records involving his widow.
If Jacob Gerritsz and Jacob Huygen are the same individual, then Maertge Jans might then be the same woman as Maertge Harmansdr., the daughter of Harmen Jansz.
It seems both possible but unlikely that these are the same couple, but available records are insufficient to determine which case is correct.
Kuypers appears to have left these discrepancies unresolved in his mind as he does not clearly treat these records as pertaining to the same people.

BIOGRAPHY
Jacob (aka Jaep) Gerritsz Huijgensz was born at least by about 1575, as the son of Gerrit Huygens and Maritgen Pietersdr.
In 1596, he was directly involved in property negotiations with his father in law and cousins, suggesting he was an adult by this time.
He was married to (jonge) Maritgen Harmansdr, the younger daughter of Harman Jansz and Aeltgen Bouwensdr. (Date unknown.)
(Their older daughter, also named Maritgen Harmansdr., was married to Mattheus Mourinsz.)
The couple had six sons and three daughters.

INTRODUCING JACOB GERRITSZ (DECKER)

(MBvW 1592, folio 23)

By 1596 he adds 26 morgens from Cornelis Jan Barentsz, and he or his sons hold that at least into 1636, along with j hont for the hofstede. (This property rented from 'Meester Cornelis' recurs repeatedly.)

(MBvW 1596 blz. 80)
Jacob Gherritsz. bruijckt van Meester Cornelis - xxvj mar.
Somma Lxj mar. ij½ hont

(MBvW 1596, blz. 24)

(MBvW 1600 folio 46)
Jacob Geritsz. bruijcker vande hofstede mettet lant daer omtrent gelegen eijgen mr. Corn. tot Leijden - xxvj mor.

(MBvW 1604, blz. 20-21)

Deselve noch eijgen over Zijl - ij mor.

Note Adriaen Pietersz. was the husband of Griet Gerritsdr, the daughter of Gerrit Lambertsz. So this Jacob Geritsz was his son. (surname Decker). .
Hence, the same conclusion applies to the 1596 record for blz 24, as it involves mostly the same properties.

(MBvW 1608, blz 154)
Jacob Geritsz. bruijct van mr. Cornelis . . (spatie) tot Leijden sijn hofstede mettet lant daer omtrent gelegen - xxvj mor.

(MBvW 1608, blz 56)
Jacob Gerits zoons hofstede (blz. 56) eijgen die hij selffs bewoont j hont

(MBvW 1636 folios 134 and 135)
Huijch Jacobsz., ende Gerit Jacobsz. loco Jacob Geritsz. haer vader bruijcken vande Erffgenamen van Mr. Corn.s Jan Barentsz. tot Leijden der selver hoffstede groot - xxvj mor.

Conclusions ...
There appear to be no farmland records that pertain expressly to Jacob Gerritsz, son of Gerrit Huijgensz.
He may or may not be included among "hare kinderen" in 1608, were he still alive.
He is expressly NOT included in 1612.
It seems clear that Jacob Gerritsz (Decker), his father Gerrit Lambertsz, or his sons Huijch and Gerit, maintain possession of j hont of land with a homestead throughout this period. And after 1592, they also maintain possession of 26 morgen land they rent from Mr. Cornelis Jan Barentsz of Leiden.

RESEARCH NOTES
In the Leiden version (word doc) of the 1599 Kohieren (head tax) record, for 't Lage Landt under Warmond, there is an entry at 52p, for Jacob Gerytsz.
(also a Cornelis Gerytsz at 52d.)

From a tax record for 1599,

There is also a Jacob Huygen, married to Maertge Jans in 1614. With a son Leendert in 1620.
https://www.wiewaswie.nl/en/detail/51981964
(1614 as Jaep Huijgen, to Maertgen Jans)

This Jacob Gerritsz's marriage may have occurred in 1614 if .... Maritgen Harmansdr. is aka Maertge Jans.
The husband of record was Jaep Huijgens, and H.M. Kuypers references the Jacob in this profile as Jaep Gerrit Huygen. (see SOURCES)

However, a deed from 1596 reports that Jacob Gerritsz was involved in agreements over property transfers. This strongly suggests that Jacob was an adult by this time, and thus was probably born by 1570.
This does not rule out a 1614 marriage, but it makes it more unlikely.
If Jacob Huijensz and Maertge Jans are somehow correct, then likely so is son Leendert in 1620, born to Jacob Huygen and Maertge Jans..

(It appears that Kuypers did not recognize that Jacob Gerritz and Jaep Gerrit Huygen were the same individual, since para 51 pertaining to his parents and brothers doesn't acknowledge Jacob's marriage to Maritgen in that passage. Jaep is a common nickname for Jacob. Census entry 151 documents his marriage, to the correct woman.)

[Doe Reijersz from Warmond living on De Zijl, age about 42, declares at the request of Gerrit Huygens that he was at Gerrit’s house on Petri ad Cathedram (22 February) 1595 where he also met Harmen Jans and his ( Doe's) two brothers in law Jacob Gerrits and Theeus Mouwerings. They agreed on a redistribution of land among themselves and financial compensation;. Signed by two witnesses, the notary and Doe Reijers (mark: arrow pointing up).

(Harmen was clearly the father-in-law of Jacob, not the brother-in-law. So Jacob and Theeus must have been Doe's brothers in law. Kuypers does not indicate that Jacob/Gerrit/Pieter had a sister for Doe's brother to marry. (One path to zwagerhood) So this suggests that Doe's sister was married to one of the Gerrit Huijgen boys. However, the patronyms for the spouses of Jan, Pieter and Jacob Gerritz are known (the fathers were Engel, Jan and Harman). No patronym Reijersz.. And Gerrit married in 1599, Pieter in 1610, and date unknown for Jacob. So then how is Doe Reijersz related to Jacob Gerrits as of 1596? Was Gerrit previously married? Who were Doe's sisters? Puzzle remains.)

As a postscript, if Jacob is involved here in property negotiations as of 1596, it seems likely that he was born at least by 1575 if not well before. Which then makes it less likely but not impossible that he married in 1614 and fathered a child in 1620.)
