On 8 January 1855 George Gerrish and Ann Maria Althrepo married in Bath. George was a Tin Plate Worker, was was his father Samuel. Ann's father Charles was a plasterer. [2]
In 1857 George and Ann Maria, along with children Sarah and Samuel sailed as an assisted Immigrant to New South Wales, Australia. George's parents were named as Samuel and Martha and Ann Maria's were Charles (deceased) and Sarah. Baby Martha was born on board. [3]
George Gerrish died in 1867 from 'injuries accidentally received' at Eighteen Mile Hollow. [4]
