Here's links to the duplicate John Steveens/Stephens and it goes on down through Thomas, etc.

John Steevens 46

John Stephens 1188

John Stevens 4963

John Stevens 2447

It would be a great thing if you would reach out to the other profile managers and collaborate with them to get John Steevens and his descendants organized, merging the duplicates.

Here's a link to the One Name Studies.

Here is a link to the Greeter's Project.

This is important, about Pre-1700 profiles.

Merging can look intimidating but the software guides the process.

best, April

Linda, please contact me by clicking on link in my name. Thank you, April Dauenhauer, a WikiTree Leader
Hi Linda,

I noticed you have contributed some profiles with dates before 1700. That's great. I wondered if you have seen our help page on Pre-1700 Profiles? There is a link to a quiz, and some handy tips.

Thank you for your many contributions to WikiTree!

Hi Linda,

Thank you for making contributions to WikiTree.

As a reminder, please be sure when you add or edit profiles for people alive before 1700, that you include sources for your information. These ancestors are shared by hundreds of people who will appreciate seeing the sources. Here is a link to WikiTree information on sources: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sources

Thank you very much,

Hey Linda,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

I think your branches are looking good! Don't get discouraged about linking into the tree... you have an infinite number of lines to follow, not just the one. You have enough generations entered to be able to start finding connections to link to on the world-wide tree. It should be much easier from there!

I know you will be adding sources to each of the profiles you have entered so far, but when you get caught up let me know and I'll help connect your branches to the rest of us.

Contact me any time, Robert

Hello Linda,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Hey Linda,

Bridge building on WikiTree, how fun! You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Welcome! Mags
