Biography

Salvatore Gennaro is a Corleone native resident, the son of Giuseppe Gennaro and Maria di Puma, who married in 1856. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

Salvatore marries Giuseppa Zabbia, daughter of Calogero Zabbia and Marianna Scianni, on 26 November 1883 in Corleone.[1]

Giuseppa and Salvatore have at least one child, Maria Antonia (1886).

Maria Antonia is baptized 3 February 1886 in Corleone.[2]

Giuseppa and Maria Antonia emigrate on the Plata, arriving in the port of New Orleans in 1891.[3]

Giuseppa's brother, Giuseppe, also emigrates to the United States. With the Piranio brothers, he is a founding member of the Dallas Mafia in 1921.

Salvatore died 27 January 1928 in Independence, Tangipahoa, Louisiana, USA. He is buried at Colonial Cemetery and Mausoleum. [4]
