Biography

Leoluca Gennaro is a Corleone native resident, the son of Don Salvatore Gennaro and Donna Marianna Labruzzo, who married in 1812. He is named after his paternal grandfather.

Don Leoluca marries Donna Girolama Marullo, daughter of Don Salvatore Marullo and Donna Benedetta Vintaloro, on 21 February 1841. Their marriage is impeded by third degree consanguinity, and a dispensation is obtained.^[1]

Don Leoluca and Donna Girolama have at least two children, Vincenzo (c. 1852) and Maria Concetta (c. 1870).

Don Vincenzo marries Gaetana Liggio on 23 October 1872 in Corleone.^[2]

Concetta (Concettina) Gennaro marries Francesco Streva in Manhattan in January 1901. This record misspells nearly single name. It appears that Concetta is the daughter of Leoluca Gennaro and Girolama Marcello.^[3] Based on her age at marriage, Concetta is born around 1870. No baptismal record has been found for Concetta in Corleone, in the 1864-74 indices.Cascio-10 10:55, 18 June 2016 (EDT)
