Biography

Enriqueta Garza was born in McAllen, Texas on 28 October 1914 to Alejandro Garza and Maria Tijerina.^[1] She married Jose Galvan on 9 February 1931 in Cameron County, Texas. They had 6 known children. By 1940, 2 of her younger siblings — Hilda and Raul — were living with the family for reasons unknown (likely, both of their parents had died by then).^[2] Enriqueta died of respiratory arrest and metastatic hypernephroma on 25 April 1981 in Harlingen, Texas.^[3]
