Biography

Gavin Hamilton Garrioch was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Métis Nation.

Gavin Hamilton Garrioch was born at Fort Garry, Red River Settlement circa 10 Apr 1822 to William Garrioch (Scottish) and Nancy Cook (Métis). Baptism took place on 21 Apr 1822.

Gavin married Hannah Bourke (daughter of John Palmer Bourke and Nancy Campbell) on 17 Jul 1851.

He passed away at Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on 2 Apr 1900.

Burial took place at Saint Mary's la Prairie Anglican Cemetery in Portage la Prairie.
