Biography

Zachariah was born in 1772. He resided at New Geneva in Springhill Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, across the Monongahela River from Greene County. He passed away between March 16, 1813, the date of his will^[1], and May 15, 1813, the date of probate.^[2] (His mother's will from 1818 mentions that he is deceased.^[3])

Research Notes

Zachariah's died in 1813, but his estate was not finally settled until 1831. This fact likely led to the confusion about his date of death among many different sources.
