Anita Ann Gammon was born on November 15, 1956, in Cedartown, Georgia. Ann attended Northside Elementary School, Cedar Hill Junior High and Cedartown High School. Ann graduated with a BS from Shorter University in Rome, GA.
Ann is the daughter of Wayne Wright Gammon, Sr. and Isabelle (Beth) Arnette Page. Ann has 3 siblings, Arnette Page Gammon, Mary Claire Gammon, and Wayne Wright Gammon, Jr. Ann was previously married to Herman Charles Prather, and 1 son was born from this union. Matthew Wayne Prather was born on March 9, 1987, and passed away on March 23, 2007. Ann is currently married to Stephen David Jacks and 1 son was born from this union. Stephen Mark Jacks was born on September 30, 1994. Ann retired from the State of Georgia after 34 years of service in 2014 as the State Director of Field Operations for the Office of Family Independence. Ann currently works part time as a hospital social worker.
