Biography

Woodson Gallimore is a part of US Black heritage.

In 1850 Sterling Bragdan was in Marysville, Charlotte, Virginia. aged 60, wife Elizabeth was age 25; Obedience "Bidnny" Bragdan was age 25 b Va; Annett Bragdan was age 14; John I Bragdan was age 8; Woodran Gallimano was age 3; Robert Bragdan was age 2; Amanda I Bragdan was age 1.^[1]This "Woodran Gallimano" is clearly Woodson Gallimore.

Woodson's wife was Priscilla, LNAB usually found as Jackson, once as Brooks.

Woodson was age 35 in 1880. His mother Anna Gallimore was age 60, b. Va. Wife Priscilla was age 30, b. Va. Daughter Mary S. Gallimore was age 9. Daughter Eliza A. Gallimore was age 5. Son John R. Gallimore was age 3. Son Elijah Gallimore was age 1. Roanoke District, Halifax, Virginia.^[2]

1900 Census: Woodson was reported age 74, b 1826. Wife Priscilla was age 70. Daughter Mary was age 26. Son Gergen Gallimore was age 15. Daughter Allie was age 8. Daughter-in-law Mary Gallimore was age 26, mother of 3, 0 then living. Roanoke District, Halifax, Virginia.^[3]

1910 Census: Woodson Gallimore was widowed, age 69, and boarding in the household of Lena Jones, age 18, in Banister, Halifax, Virginia.^[4]

Woodson died at age 75 in Halifax County.^[5]
