Biography
Antonina Gagliano is a Corleone native resident, the daughter of Maestro Rosario Gagliano and Francesca Colajanni, who married in 1806.
Antonina marries Antonino Lione, son of Stefano Leone and Pietra Pomara, on 9 August 1829.[1]
Antonino is named by police in connection with an armed, criminal gang headed by fellow Corleone native Giuseppe "Rapanzino" Castro. In April 1834, a bounty on the members is renewed.[2]
That same year, five men escape from the prison in Corleone, according to a note dated two years later, on 1 August 1836. Three of them are members of Rapanzino's gang: Luciano Catania, Antonino Leone, and Salvatore Pomara.[2]
A new bounty is issued on the surviving members of Rapanzino's gang in March 1836, including Antonino.[2]
Antonino, age 27, is killed on 10 May 1836. His wife and parents survive him.[3]
