Biography

Vincenzo Gagliano, the son of Francesco Paolo Gagliano and Francesca Paola di Giglia, is born on 2 September 1853 in Corleone and is baptized the next day. His godparents are Maestro Calogero Ciancimino and his wife, Anna Bonanno.[1] Vincenzo is named after his paternal grandfather.

Vincenzo marries Salvatrice Rizzo, daughter of the late Ciro Rizzo and Anna Maniscalco, and widow of Giovanni Mancuso, on 6 April 1880. His father has died by this time.[2]

Vincenzo and Salvatrice have at least one child, Francesca Paola (c. 1882), named after her paternal grandmother.

Francesca Paola marries Vittorio Rigogliuso on 27 April 1919.[3]
