The biography for Mary Fritschen is empty. What can you add? Father: Joseph John Fritschen Mother: Norma Virginia Paulsen Siblings: William Joseph Fritschen, Michael J. Fritschen My Grandfather, Frederick Fritschen emigrated from Germany to avoid transcription into the army and ended up homesteading a farm in Norton County Kansas. He and my Grandmother, Eva Katrina Knauff had five children: George, Elizabeth, Peter, Joseph and Anna. Peter and Joseph were the only children to have families of their own. Peter had a son, Donald and a daughter, Laynete (Mick). Mary Louise Fritschen married Francis Paul Noel on July 23, 1963, in Logan, Phillips, Kansas at St. John's Catholic Church. They graduated from Fort Hays Kansas State University in 1966 and started teaching school in Rexford and Seldon Kansas that year.On August 18,1969, Julie Ann Noel was born in Hoxie, Kansas. In September, the family moved to Maryville, Missouri where Francis was a Boy Scout Executive, Manager of Sheltered Workshop, Juvenile Officer and Case Worker for the State of Missouri in Andrew County. Mary was elected Nodaway County Treasurer in 1984 and served until retirement in 2009. Two other children were born to this union: Christie Beth (November 6, 1972) and Melanie Renee (October 9, 1979). Francis died of cancer October 12, 1911 at Heartland Regional Hospital, St. Joseph, Missouri. Mary was united in marriage to Orel Loland Owens, Jr. in a civil service at the Nodaway County Courthouse on May 17, 2013 and the marriage was blessed at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville, Missouri on September 7, 1913. They reside in St. Joseph, MO.
