William Friedkin is Notable.

William Friedkin was an American film and television director, producer, and screenwriter closely identified with the "New Hollywood" movement of the 1970s. He is perhaps best remembered for having directed the Academy Award winning crime thriller The French Connection (1971). He also directed the horror film The Exorcist (1973), which earned him another Academy Award nomination for Best Director.

William Friedkin was born in 1935 in Chicago to Benjamin Friedkin and Rachael Green, both of Jewish Ukrainian heritage.[1]
