I am told that you are researching the family name Pitts.I have written a biography of my branch of the family going back to the 1600s. It contains much of interest not only about the family but about aspects of social and military history not found in general history books. It is entitled Wherefore we are by David Pitts. I am understandably not allowed to advertise where to get it but no doubt you now where to look
