Biography

When James M. B. Frazier was born on January 23, 1852, in Attala, Mississippi, his father, Benjamin, was 20 and his mother, Samantha, was 16; his father died when he was very young and his mother remarried to George Hollingsworth, who died before 1870. He married Irene E. Phipps (1862-1891) in 1878 (his obit states "1887" but they are on the 1880 census together and have one child, age 9mos);^[1] he then married Nancy L. Owens (1871-1957) in 1895.^[2] He died on October 4, 1924, in Stephens, Oklahoma, at the age of 72, and was buried in Comanche, Oklahoma.^[3]
