Absolom Franklin was born about 1822 in Alabama.^[1]

He first married Mary Frost on 24 Dec 1847 in Bibb County, Alabama^[2] and the couple had a son:

1. Henry H. Franklin was born about 1848/6 in Alabama.^[1][3]

He then married Emeline McGraw on 25 May 1849 in Bibb County, Alabama^[4][1] and the couple had the following known children:

1. Mary "Polly" A. Franklin was born bout 1850 in Alabama.^[1][3]

1. Absolom apparently died before 1860 as wife Emeline and children Henry and Mary are living alone in 1860 in Shelby County, Alabama.^[3]
